About the atelier

Roundstep Atelier began with a simple observation: people make more confidently when the next step is clear. Our courses pair dependable textile techniques with space for individual character, so every finished doll can carry its maker’s point of view.
Our story
The studio was formed by textile artist Mara Ellison after years of community workshops and pattern testing at a shared worktable in Portland. She noticed that beginners did not need more noise or complicated supply lists; they needed calm explanations, honest examples, and permission to revise.
Today, Roundstep Atelier brings that worktable feeling to a carefully edited library of self-paced courses and guided sessions.
